Paramount promoted its latest, tongue-in-cheek take, on the Baywatch franchise by aiming to break a world record. That’s right, in a piece of PR straight from 1990, the brand floated ‘the world’s largest beach ball’ down the Thames.
The images were far from compelling, featuring a slightly grubby tugboat clearly in view hauling the giant plastic beach-ball down the iconic estuary. On top of that and, due to the position of the ball on the boat, sections of the key messages printed on the beach ball were obscured in the photograph.
What We Didn't Like
If you’re going to float something down the Thames, at least make sure your PR messages are fully visible in the images you share with media.
