To celebrate ‘Force Friday’ – the day on which all f this year’s new Star Wars toys are released – Disney is taking over the 5th floor of John Lewis on Oxford Street, ad turning it into a recreation of the famous Cantina, first seen in A New Hope. Various Star Wars themed cocktails will be served, in addition to a non-alcoholic drink called the Kessler Run.

Disney clearly know its audience, as this is quite literally the ultimate in fan-service. For those older fans who would never consider purchasing a Star Wars toy, it acts as a great incentive to at the very least take a look at the range, and what’s on offer these days. And thanks to the inclusion of alcoholic cocktails on the menu and the chance to experience the fun with their kids? Disney also gets the range in front of those who both may have more use for toys, and who have some serious pester power…
